NewsDecember 13, 2011Sadly there's nothing good to report. Except for 3 tiny doodles on the forum I didn't get anything done so far.The heating system in this old building gave us many, often completely, sleepless nights because it pulls out all the stops of noise, in the bedroom, of course. We are tired and exhausted and not even done screwing everything together and the repairman couldn't do much. Last night we ringed the door of our neighbour from downstairs at 3am and begged him to turn down his heater which sends its noise up to our room. Afterwards we grabbed our matraces at 5am and moved over to my doll room because the toeboard in the bedroom made clacking noises like a lovesick woodpecker. There we noticed that one of the windows is darn leaky but we just slept in the chill - we were too exhausted to fix that in the middle of the night. My master repairman dad advises us to shorten the rent or to move out instantly, but we can't afford that since the move was twice as expensive as expected (thanks to extremely slanted floors which forced us to replace many of our furniture items). Also our friends and helpers are wearing thin on patience. Just to keep you updated in case you're sad that I don't get anything done. I'm sad too, the flat seemed to be so perfect for us. : ( November 07, 2011By now we arrived at our new place but there's still a ton to do and I do really bad healthwise - it seems I adapt very slowly/badly to new places. It's getting better though!I start to have doubts that I'll be able to continue Seekers this year since there's still a lot to do in the new flat and I haven't even found all my drawing utensils yet. Additionally it seems that my translations and cheerleading team was dragged to another dimension and has to fight their way back first. :P When I have some time I work on some other things though. E.g. the doll comics and galleries move back to the forum. The local system is completely overrun by (unposted) sex spam and I'm tired of wading through that junk daily. The Seekers galleries'll probably move back too to give the comic itself more space to breathe. There are many plans for next year though and there'll be comics again too! Drop by the forum from time to time, maybe I can post some quick sketches or even get a wallpaper done for Christmas, who knows? : ) July 20, 2011Alright, I officially put the website on ice now.Living in this place is a nightmare and it's constantly getting worse. We're now putting all our strength into finding a new place to live before Christmas instead of moving in spring. We're massively on the lookout for a new flat now and busy with bulk waste, packing and renovations already. Keep your fingers crossed that we're gonna find a new place quickly! Within the next days I'll remove the shoutbox so it won't fill up with spam while I don't have internet but I can be reached on the forum and by email. June 06, 2011The website is still mostly on hiatus. I misjudged the time and effort required to prepar/declutter our stuff so we can move next spring.More importantly though there's not much I can/want to do without my team. Darkest_Secret abruptly lost her mother to cancer just some days ago and Sheora will be a mother shortly. There's no-one there to push me, cheer me on or check my translations and that is absolutely okay. I hope that both of them can find some rest first and I don't want to update until my best friend feels better again. Currently I just prefer to make doll clothes for her and wait for a sign of life. Seekers isn't dead but real life just has to come first right now. April 19, 2011As promised a new Wacky Wingling is online. ^^ |
