Okay, here are my probably-moving-in-next-month new roommates! That's my mother in the background by the way. The wild-coloured one is really shy and scared. The orange one looks happier and braver, the difference between the two is kinda funny.

Aaaw, they are adorable! The dark one looks like a perfect bookholder. ;D
Both have lovely colours. Are they old enough to determine the gender? Do you have names for them already?

They remind me a lot of my gerbils. Creme-coloured Belldandy was also curious and black Morrigan was very shy.

They're so cuuuute! *flails at the cute* <3
Up there just me and my shadow, no bass, no guitar, no tambourine. Then I found you like a melody, you were singin' in the same key as me. <3

I have no idea how old they are - they are the only ones that were rescued from the street (if I recall correctly). They look like they could be 2 months old, but I don't have much experience with young rabbits. We don't know their gender, my mother thinks they are a sister and brother. I will take them to the vet as soon as possible.
One of the others was found dead in a box of rat poison so who knows what happened to them! The vet will probably be able to tell their gender.
I was thinking about names. My previous rabbit room-mate was called Berkje - which means as much as 'Little birch'. Berkje had the same coat as the dark one - a wild colour. I would have preferred to have no rabbits in that colour because the loss of my little friend is still kinda fresh in my mind, but so is life.
Anyway, I am thinking about Avena and Oryza - Avena sativa is the Binomial name for oat and Oryza sativa is the Binomial name for rice. I looked up some plant names for ideas and saw the Binomial name for oat and I liked it, so I looked up other cereal grains like wheat until I found another one I liked. But I'm still thinking about it. It's not going to be any 'normal' rabbit name.
EDIT: Sorry about the giant size of the pictures! I'll learn some day. I already resized them to 25% of what they were, but it's still gigantic. I don't have an eye for that.

Naw, the pics aren't too big, don't worry!
It's all moar cute! ^o^

We have a pet too, although an unwanted one. Let me introduce to you: Pläten-Paule (Paul the baldie).
There was that ball of bird food that hung below the roof all winter and no bird ever ate from it because the old folks on the other side of the yard had way more bird food more easily available.
Anyway, sick of that thing hanging there I pinned it to my clothesline, since a dove was always drooling at it but not able to feed from the hanging ball without a platform.

Instead of the dove (or all the tiny other birds) Paule came. I don't know if he's a he or a she and I don't care. ;D
Something bad must have happened to it. The bald head looks like it had lobotomy... For the first few days it came 4 times a day to snag some food, all the while making the most terrifying whining noises. By now it comes 5-6 times and it imitates all kind of other birds now. At least that's not as loud.

While it's funny to watch I'll be happy once the bird food is gone because actually I want to srub that clothesline down and take it inside - and Paule poops on the balcony on almost every visit! Talk about thankless!

He's kinda cute in his own way. Too bad birds have terrible manners, I'm glad I'm sticking to bunnies. :D On the other hand, rabbits never make a cheery sound.
By the way, the brown one has such a slim nose, I keep thinking about spitsmuizen (shrews) so I'm just gonna call him Muis (Mouse, it makes more sense in Dutch). Still not sure about the orange one though. Muis is also terribly afraid and panicky. I have to be really patient with that one.

Whee, Spitzmaus!
I'd call the orange one Caramel, but that's just my drooly sense of humour. ;D

I love birds but they are just too loud. Robin was also the loudest bird ever. Whenever I see a budgeriar on tv it makes this sweet little "chirp, chirp" sounds while Robin was like a coarse foghorn. When we went to the bird clinic (towards the end) I was almost thrown off a tram when she went off. The other budgeriars I had in my life all made different but cute sounds. When they're separated from others budgies tend to imitate what they hear, so they probably imitated me, what they heard on tv, other birds or even noises like the doorbell.
My budgie Marian always got excited whenever there were screeching bats in a videogame. Then he always started a greeting twitter. ^^

Bunnies are quite silent, right? It was very rarely that I heard my gerbils feep. Their sounds are usually above our hearing range. But when I heard them "talk" to each other it was so cute. Morrigan was quite like Muis. Often she was playing normally and then she suddently got startled, dashed into cover and started drumming the danger hymn with her hind legs. dodomm dodomm dodomm. She also stayed in cover when I had to handle things in the cage - unless I held something yummy, then she forgot that she was afraid of me. ^.~
It's fun what different personalities pets can have. When I let the gerbils out for the first time and sat down in their middle Mo hid behind a large vase instantly while Belle was on my head within seconds. Sucked when she crawled into my sleeve, though. ;D

The orange one is called Vlegel now! That's a rather old-fashioned, maybe even ruder way to say rascal in Dutch. Vlegel keeps standing and sitting on Muis, but she is very nice otherwise.
Yes, she! The vet thought both were girls. She had to discuss with her assistant for a while if Muis couldn't be a hare who just happened to be with the saved bunnies. Probably just a skinny bunny though.
And now, for pictures:

(I'll keep it at 4 for now, but I have more pictures! Not all are interesting, because Muis is panicky and Vlegel busy inspecting everything.)

*glomps*
They are sooo cute I want to cuddle them! I'm so jealous that you can. ^^ Well... at least Vlegel. (We have an old-fashioned word for that too, Flegel!)

*sends Giselda to rummage through Isa's pockets for more photos*

They remind me of my dear gerbils so much. One curious and one shy.

They're so cute! So many bunnies! Two of my friends have rabbits too. One called Kiko, and one called Muffin (Full name Blueberry muffin because her fur looks like a blueberry muffin).
Now I see Bunnies EVERYWHERE! =D
Up there just me and my shadow, no bass, no guitar, no tambourine. Then I found you like a melody, you were singin' in the same key as me. <3

Well, I could say that I want to make up for all the time I didn't chat with you and I do, but I was going to post these anyway.
More bunnies!
(Vlegel is more in the spotlight because Muis' favourite hobby is hiding.)

You can see the green plastic corner that is meant as a rabbit toilet but dear Berkje and the girls refuse to use it as such. Vlegel, like Berkje did before, likes to use it as a throne. I guess it's cooler than straw, because she hogs it especially on hot days. Then she stretches herself out and is so ridiculously cute. Muis uses it as a hiding place. At first she kept me awake because she disagreed with me attaching the corner to the cage. She kept shaking and pulling and turning until it came loose and she could turn it upside down to use as a hiding place. I stopped attaching the corner to the cage.
Muis wins. :-*
