Dolltopia

On the next morning, when Eternia hauled the first of her moving boxes along the garden path, Sinistra already waited for her in front of the door. At her feet sat a small chest, a likely small bag and a basket with contents that Eternia actually had no intent of looking at closer. The books and bottles definitely looked magical so Eternia was not interested in borrowing any of them later.
"Good morning!" she greeted. "You're already here! Is that all you own?"
"Good morning, Eternie", Sinistra replied, "No, that's just the last of my things. I've been here twice before this morning and brought everything up to my room already."
"Wow, you've been really busy then..."
"What you have there isn't all you own, other, is it?" the elementalist asked and pointed to the box.
"Just the first cartload." Eternia grinned. "Sadly I'll have to pay the full week for my room, so I can take my time somewhat with the lugging."

"I'll gladly help you carry your things later!" Sinistra offered.
Eternia opened the door and gave her an amused look. "Nice offer, but it's my hope that a nice, young man will step up to offer his help to a weak, pretty woman. When I left it was still too early for that. The street was completely empty."
"Huh, I can lift more than you think!"
"Sinistra... that's not the point."
"Huh? Now I don't understand you."
Eternia rolled her eyes. "The purpose is to give men an opportunity to talk me up!"
"I thought this was about moving your stuff here?"
'Wow. She really has no clue about how to chat up people or flirt.' Eternia thought to herself, but she said: "Oh, never mind."

Dolltopia

"For the time being, let's go inside and discuss the important things." The blonde hauled her box in the corridor and came back. "Or do you want to idle the whole day away outside?"
"Err, no, of course not!" Sinistra picked up her belongings and quickly followed her housemate.

When the elementalist entered the livingroom to take off her cape Eternia was already standing there with a wide stance and glared at the ceiling with a fierce look on her face. "This is absolutely disgusting!" she ranted. "I can live with anything else in this livingroom, but not the state of this ceiling! What do you think?"
"Indeed, it's far from pretty", the black-haired woman agreed. "It seems so far nobody bothered to do anything about it."
"Truly! It's so dark and there's holes everywhere. What would friends think about us?!"
"Hm, do you really think guests would look at the ceiling, of all things?"
"I don't care. I would become depressive myself if I had to lay on that daybed there and stare up to that."
"You might be right with that..."
"Alright, let's check out the kitchen too."

Dolltopia

"We've got the same problem here", Sinistra sighed when they stood in the kitchen. "Actually, the ceiling up here looks even worse than down below."
"To be honest, I'm even more peeved by the floor here", Eternia grumbled.
"Huh? Why's that?" Her housemate's gaze wandered around. "The floor looks fine to me."
"It's so dark, though. I royally dislike dark rooms. And it's the same laminate floor as in the livingroom."
"It didn't bother you in the livingroom."
"There we can lay out some carpet to brighten up the room, but in a kitchen, we can't!"
"Hm... I'm rather disturbed by the colourful fridge", Sinistra admitted sheepishly.

Dolltopia

"We'll certainly find a solution for that later." Eternia thought about the bad state her finances were in. "Just like for the other small details. First we have to take care of the important things."
"That's right. We should definitely paint the ceilings before we clean up and start cooking here."
"So what do we need for a paint job... paint, sheeting, paint roller, brushes, tape..."
"Whoa, so many things? I never painted anything before! It's a great thing you know about this topic." Sinistra was excited.
All of a sudden Eternia looked at her sharply. "How much money do you have with you?"
