Hehehe, another one done. ^^ I'll try to get at least 5 more done this month, then skip remakes until after the anniversary.
Gah, why am I so hestitant to advertize, other people's comics look much more chaotic then mine. ^^; NyuuuuuuUUU!
It's always like
Gisi: "Let's show off my panties and buy an ad!"
me: "Okay."
*looks at the list of missing remakes*
me: "Nooooo, I can't bear to show that to anyone! Look at that mess!"
Gisi: *pouts*
Being a perfectionist sucks. ^^;

Don't give up on the remakes, eph!  You've been doing a great job, and if you feel the need to wait until they're done, then go ahead - several artists usually remake their comics over once or twice with or without adverts.

And Giselda would make a lovely ad. *gg*

I've come way too far to give up on them, ha ha.
Those remakes haunt me for years. But I think it's okay now. 31 remakes and 2 minor corrections in #5, from a total of 189 pages... that's okay. I got considerably faster with my corrections lately after I noticed that I try to be holier than the pope with my lineart.

What annoys me most is that I have to keep my old style (with constant line thickness) for the old pages, and that totally messes up my new pages because I promptly fall out of my varied line width style. And I noticed that my grasp of anatomy is shaky at best lately. No idea what happened all of a sudden, but I definitely have to practice more. Can't wait to have more time for random sketches again!

So working on the remakes as fast as possible is good. Boring but good. There can't be a print version without these done, and I can't even dream of a 2-page-a-week rhythm either until they are from my desk.

Got another one corrected this morning. I'll finish it up when I come back from the dentist. Whoohoo!

Wow it's amazing that you're actually persevering on finishing everything - and the comic looks great!

Luckily stubborness is my most prominent character trait. Stubborness and sense of duty - both never let me do what I want. *g*

Huzzah, down to 30 remakes now!

EDIT: Whee, even down to 29 now! New personal record for fixing a page. ^^

EDIT2: Hah, down to 28! And now I cut my thumb. T.T

There are only so many edits before it looks dumb. So:

Huzzah, down to 27! I just finished another remake that I started at 9am and now it's just noon. ^,^
That's cool, I planned to make 5 remakes until the end of the month and now I already made 5 this week. Next up is page 80, which doesn't look like that much work either. I might be able to finish this today too. Hm, but I think first I'll see about that blasted page from #5 with the up/down stairs. Last try to fix it!

EDIT:
Okay, I fixed page 185 for the last time. Please tell me if that's acceptable. I know it's not good, I just want to hear a honest opinion if it's *acceptable* like that. Else I'll just scrap it and draw that panel completely anew from a different perspective.

EDIT2:
Yeah, and page 80 is done too and it's only 7pm, so I can still work some more today. If only this stupid thumb would stop throbbing. Where did I get that cut? 26 pages to go!

*peeps in with a metal pot for a helmet and hiding behind her chair*  Page 185 looks....better.  But it still looks like you're going upstairs, rather than down. ><;;  I know you really don't want to scrap it, so that's up to you...

...and before I go into suggestions, I want to give a big thumbs up for getting so much done.  Great job, eph! ;D

Ahem, however...if you wanted to do a bird's eye view of the scene, you'd really only see the top of the magistrates's head, not their entire bodies, even if Sinnon was behind them.

But how'd you cut your thumb?

No need for a helmet, I asked for a honest reply and appreciate it. ;) I spent over 2 hours with the various tries of fixing it and I rather scrap it and draw it anew before I waste any more on more feeble tries. T'is what they say, there are at least 100 bad pages in everyone and you can't prevent it. Boy, I'm just glad that I didn't draw Eloya's carriage and his guards on the street, I would have been so pi**ed to scrap something complicated like that.

The thing is it isn't a real bird's perspective, especially since Sinnon is only 30 cm tall (and standing, his wings are not moving). That's why I squat down on an actual stair and took that photo with my hubbie and a manikin, and it looks like in my drawing very muchly. (Would show the photo, but hubbie wasn't dressed adequately. ;) )
The very first image I had in mind was to show Eloya up front and zoom up the stairs with Sinnon in the background. I didn't use that idea because Eloya leaves the scene and I didn't want the reader "to go with him". (And I drew his face so often already.) So I made Sinnon the main focus and failed. I think I'll go back to the initial idea instead of drawing it from the side and mess up again. Leave the complicated stuff for days when I don't draw like a noob. :P

Yeehaw, I'm so good. ^^ 6 pages in a week, and I even started the next remake. (Got half of it corrected.) But gawd, I'm tired. Worked on Seekers for 13 1/2 hours today, and yesterday wasn't any less. Guess I will work on it for ~2 hours more before I go to bed. I think that's what the whole March will look like for me. I hope it's worth it and the anniversary will be nice.

No idea how I cut it, happened sometime yesterday evening and it hurts pretty much. Maybe when I fiddled around in the gerbil cage. I'd prefer if it was the left thumb. *gives it an evil stare*

In that case, I'm glad to help. :ehem:  But yes, I'd be less than happy, too, if I had to scrap something as intricate as a carriage.  Seeing as how I don't have that kind of talent, however, I leave such things in your capable hands - and you're not a newb. *hugs*  Hard at work, I see...over fifteen hours today alone?  What's given you so much energy?

I guess it's just some kind of perspective that you can't pull off with a tiny character.

Uhm... desparation. ^^; I'm drowning in all the things I have to do, and so I hurry up to get some stuff done before I break down with a major nap attack. And I think I will have to do some sort of donation drive in March in addition to the anniversary preparations, to boot. Something went wrong with my hubbie's new contract, and so I don't dare to spend a single cent on anything in the next 2 months. If I want another of those "how to draw" books from amazon before it's out of print I have to work my bum off even more and earn it through donations.
Sooooo... *scribble, scribble*

Took a break now to resize some WWs. That section needs an overhaul, urgently. It won't be hard to finish page 77 of Seekers tomorrow, already got half of it done now. Wrote new texts yesterday night until 4am, still have to translate those and get them to Sheora tomorrow for checking. Yum, yum... NAP ATTACK!

Just don't stress out or overdo it and wind up making yourself sick, eph.  We all love you happy and healthy. *nods*

I'm sorry to hear about your hubby's contract, and hope everything goes well for you guys really soon.  I know you were really pushing for that deadline and hoping everything would work out with the money situation. *crosses fingers*

Speaking of WW's...the last one was so cute!  I love Giselda's face and her little grin...and yours. :-*

Whee, I'm down to 23 missing pages now! Okay, plus those two in #5. I should invent the elevator and let stairs go out of business. *g*
I never thought I would ever get so far. There's actually light on the horizon, hooray!

Yesterday and today I pretty much slacked off. Spring tiredness hit and I spent most of the day reading Sims stories. Still finished another remake today though and I also made Sims stuff. Today my husband got a different contract for the next 3 months, which will hopefully go smoothly. The tension on my shoulders lifted and now I'm even more tired. But I think after a good night's sleep I'll be back for more remakes tomorrow. :) (And I'm almost done reading the Sims stories, anyway. *g*)

On Friday I will stop with the remakes and buy the first banner add.
Tomorrow I'll take care of page 72. It's the page where Nareen arrives at the Wild Boar, and I will take that chance to brush up the outside of the orc tavern.

EDIT: Yay, down to 22 pages now!

EDIT Feb 28: Yay, down to 21 pages! ^,^

Yep, down to 18 pages and the stairs now! I can do it, I can do it! *does a little happy dance* Although I shouldn't right now (with all the other things left to do), but I only chose the pages that I can pull off rather quickly.

You can do it Eph!  Look how much you've already done! You are more than half way there, it would be a shame to quit now!  *Dances around and jumps up and down*
