Dolltopia

"Oh, me?" Eternia brushed her hair back to make it stream beautifully. "I'm a model."
"Ah, that's interesting! My daughter also works in that sector. What agency do you work for?"

Eternia gulped. "Err..., I... you know, so far I didn't sign an exlusive contract with an agency. They are all soooo different in what they can offer me and they are all crazy for me - I just can't decide yet."
"Ah, I see." Indi watched her through his glasses and Eternia wasn't sure what the pony was thinking. Then the landlord asked: "Where can I admire you then? On the catwalk or in magazines?"
"Err... I doubt you have ever seen me. I mostly model... bridal wear."
"Wedding gowns?"
"Exactly. I do so mostly at... ehm... smaller fashion shows at boutiques."

Dolltopia

"And that earns you a steady income?" the ponyman made certain.
Eternia stayed on the ball. "Of course! I'm a photo model too, after all. But you won't know my work from that sector, either, since most of my photos are headless shots, you know..."
"Swimwear?"
"And lingerie."
"I see."
"Of course this isn't the end of my career, I will soon take off", Eternia said self confidently.

Dolltopia

"Would you move in here alone or with friends or family?"
Just me!" she said promptly. "My family lives abroad."
"Ah. So currently you also live alone?"
"Yes, that's right." Eternia was a bit confused but hid it well.

Sinistra stood there, dumbfounded. When Indi suddenly turned towards her she flinched.

Dolltopia

"So far so good. And how about you, Miss Sinistra? What is your profession?"
"Oh! Oh, I'm an elementalist!" she blurted out nervously.
Indi's brow furrowed. "That is a magical profession, isn't it?"
"Yes, it is! I work magic that has to do with the elements."
"What company does someone like you work for?"
"Err... you know... I'm kind of, like, self-employed. People call me when they have problems."
"What kind of problems?"
Sinistra bit her lip. Eternia had such an impressive job! What should she say to sound at least half as cool as her? "All kind of problems! I... I'm one of those rare elementalists who don't control just one element, but all!"

Dolltopia

"Pffff!" Eternia interrupted. "What kind of a lame job is that?! I never heard anything about elementalists!"
"But... but... there's even a shop for magic ingredients not too far from here!" Sinistra countered cravenly. "You have to know that shop!"
"There's also a McKitty here, the TopiMart and if you look for long enough I'm sure there's a shop for used books too. That doesn't prove anyone who works at those places automatically earns enough to rent a house."
"But... I'm not a shop assistent anyway! I just stated that there's other magicians around!"

Dolltopia

Indi sighed. Then he asked: "Miss Sinistra, if you have knowledge about all elements, does that - by any chance - mean that you actually like to tend the garden?"
"Oh, yes it does! In fact, magical plants are actually a hobby of mine!"
"Hm."

'Oh, gimme a break!' Eternia ranted silently. 'No way in hell she has a job and he just accepts that?'

"And would you move in alone or do you have flatmates?"
"No, I'm alone."
"A pet, maybe? Don't magicians always have familiars?"
"No, I'm really, truly alone."

"Alright." Indi turned to leave. "If you two please follow me, I'll show you the upper floor."
