Takchi

Image information

Description

For years this motif rotted away as a sketch. Then I finally redrew it three times, made Takchi's jaw a bit wider in the process and then fought a fight with the colorization. And geez, what a battle that was! Five times I tried to get the shine of the fire right and each time the result sucked. Finally I grabbed one of my Taeyangs (male dolls), put a bunch of red LEDs in front of his face and took a photo of it in the dark to get a better grasp of where the lights belong and which colour they should have.

To be honest though: I still suck at drawing coloured light or characters in the dark. Good thing Seekers is a manga and thus black and white most of the time!
